Tagxedo is a program that is much like Wordle, a program that I know many of you use. Tagxedo, according to the site, "turns words -- famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters -- into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text." Tagxedo is highly customizable, allowing you to use their gallery of shapes, fonts and palettes, but what's really great is that you can import your own! Check out this one I made using the text of the Gettysburg Address:

Infuse learning
I ran across a free service, Infuse Learning, where you can create assessments on any device- including a regular computer- and then through use of a virtual classroom, give them to your students to complete using any device.
Questions can be multiple choice, true/false, short answer, or even take the form of a drawing! Check out the Snapguide below or for more resources, visit Infuse Friends on Pinterest

Digital Learning Day
I received an email today for Digital Learning Day. This looks like a great opportunity to learn how others are using technology in their classrooms and libraries.
Here's the email message:
Join the second annual Digital Learning Day—a national campaign that celebrates educators and the potential of technology in education—on February 6, 2013. Sign up TODAY to join tens of thousands of educators in a wave of innovation sweeping across the nation’s schools! Participation is free and easy, and it is open to all interested education leaders (teachers, librarians, principals, district trainers, community leaders, etc.). This is a great opportunity to highlight and expand your efforts in using technology in the classroom to improve student outcomes!
As a registered participant of Digital Learning Day, you’ll receive tips and toolkits that you can use on Digital Learning Day and beyond. We will soon be posting interactive K–12 interactive lesson plans in math, science, language arts, civics, and digital literacy for your use—all free of charge! These lessons will help you can collaborate with other educators across the nation in this massive celebration highlighting the potential of digital learning.
Your plans can be as simple or complex as you like. All we ask is that you sign up and try something new! There are a lot of great ideas, activities, and toolkits available in the “ways to participate” and “take action” sections of the Digital Learning Day website. For questions, or if you would like to share your story or activities ideas, please contact Rachel Jones or Sara Hall.
As part of your local Digital Learning Day activities on February 6, please register to watch the second annual Digital Town Hall, being simulcast live as part of the national Digital Learning celebration at 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (ET).
Just Announced! Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and White House Chief Technology Officer Todd Park have joined the national Digital Learning Day celebration.

Internet History Sourcbook
The Internet History Sourcebooks Project is a collection of public domain and copy-permitted historical texts presented cleanly (without advertising or excessive layout) for educational use.
It contains links to many useful websites and to primary source materials which could be used in Ancient Civilizations, Medieval World and US History classes.
